WARDOGS Weapon Tier List — Best Guns & Starter Picks
Because every weapon costs real in-match cash, the WARDOGS "best gun" question has an economic answer, not just a damage answer. Community tier lists mostly agree on the top — FAL, M4, PKM, AMR 50 — and disagree everywhere else. Here is the consensus read as of Sep 17, 2026.
How the Tier List Works
Rankings weigh damage per shot over fire rate — armor damage reduction and distance falloff apply per hit, so fewer hits to kill also means cheaper per-match costs. Lists also differ by playstyle (defense vs assault) and by whether they rank starter value or absolute power. No list agrees fully; treat this as the consensus view.
Consensus S-Tier
| Weapon | Price | Why it is top tier |
|---|---|---|
| FAL | $6,500 | 60 damage per shot with full-auto and semi-auto — the highest damage per shot in its class, but expensive to lose. |
| M4 | $2,800 | The best all-rounder: highest rifle fire rate (800 RPM), great controllability, and strong value — several outlets call it the best assault rifle. |
| PKM | $4,500 | 55 damage at ~600 RPM with a 100-round box. Devastating when bipod-deployed on defense; heavy and slow to move. |
| AMR 50 | $8,800 | .50 cal anti-materiel: 107 damage, 2,000 m range, 1–2 shots through any armor. Very heavy (12.5 kg) with expensive ammo. |
Best Starter & Budget Weapons
- T-21 ($600): nearly every list calls it the best value gun — full-auto, 750 RPM, and ~$300 while the sub-Level-9 New Recruit discount is active.
- Free starters (A-91, Bushmaster M17S, KH-2002): 28 damage at 700 RPM with 300 m range — semi-auto/burst only, but they cost nothing.
- Galil ($2,200): the most-cited price/damage/recoil balance in the mid range.
- AK74 ($1,600): forgiving recoil and cheap to run; some budget lists rate it lower for meta value.
The A/B Field
| Weapon | Typical tier | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| SVD | S–A | The most forgiving DMR — 55 damage, semi-auto, 800 m range with follow-up shots. |
| BMR-308 | A | 60 damage per shot; the deliberate long-range pick, slower than the SVD. |
| Super-45 | A | 1,200 RPM shreds inside 50 m; falls off hard beyond that. |
| M249 SAW | A–B | 850 RPM belt-fed suppression and anti-vehicle use; heavy and slow to ADS. |
| M500 | B | The shotgun for gate-breach and room clearing. |
| MP5 / AMP-9 | B | Solid SMGs — AMP-9 is the cheaper option at $900. |
| SKS | B | Mid DMR — a step below the SVD but dependable. |
Best Guns by Situation
- Long-range picks: AMR 50 for armor kills, SVD for follow-up shots, BMR-308 for deliberate shooting.
- Holding a defense: PKM on a bipod with the 100-round box.
- Close quarters: Super-45 or M500.
- First 10 levels: T-21 at the New Recruit discount — spend the savings on armor and medical supplies.
