WARDOGS Wipe Guide — What Resets & What You Keep
WARDOGS runs on a seasonal structure with wipes: cash and XP reset each season, while Gold Bars and cosmetics are permanent. All beta progress was wiped when Early Access launched. Here is exactly what resets, what converts and what survives.
Did Beta Progress Carry Over?
No. All progression from the August and September beta waves was wiped when Early Access launched on Sep 10, 2026 — reputation and money were reset to a clean slate for new players. The official pre-alpha statement had already confirmed that earned cash would not transfer, and beta progression was deliberately compressed for the short test windows anyway.
What a Wipe Resets
- Cash — your in-match money resets each season (but see the conversion below).
- XP and levels across all roles and classes.
- Gear unlocked with cash — weapons and equipment bought with the old season’s money.
What Survives a Wipe
- Gold Bars and any cosmetics bought with them — permanent.
- Leftover cash converts to Gold Bars automatically at the day’s exchange rate (the rate shifts daily). The conversion is one-way: gold can never become cash again.
- Player Skills are planned as permanent progression (e.g. medic revive speed, infantry weapon handling, pilot fuel efficiency), per BULKHEAD’s Joe Brammer.
Season Timing
Season 1 runs exactly one month, until mid-October 2026. Future season lengths are undecided — Brammer has said seasons 2, 3 and 4 "could be whatever we decide". Wipes are part of the current seasonal Early Access structure and described as a development tool; BULKHEAD has not confirmed whether they continue unchanged at 1.0.
Progression Changes at Launch
- The XP curve was slowed — levels 10–20 take more than double the beta time; median players (20–25 hours) land around level 20.
- Artillery now unlocks at career level 90 (was 55 in beta).
- The Heavy Tank moved into Driver progression — it now requires level 35 in the ground-driver specialization.
- Beta rewards and Twitch Drops are delivered through the in-game Vault on launch day rather than being re-earned.
