WARDOGS Error Codes & Crash Fixes

Beta players hit a handful of WARDOGS-specific errors — error 1147405308, 0xc0000142, invalid kernel handle 0x93 and Easy Anti-Cheat blocks. This page collects every known code and the fixes that worked in beta.

Repair Easy Anti-Cheat

  1. Browse to the WARDOGS install folder and open the EasyAntiCheat folder.
  2. Run EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe (or the game’s EAC launcher) and choose "Repair".
  3. Reboot, then launch from Steam as administrator.
  4. If it still fails, disable conflicting overlays (Discord, RivaTuner, GeForce Experience) and retry.

General Crash Fixes

Stuck on Audio Settings

One beta bug trapped players on the audio settings screen. Workarounds that helped: plug in a different audio device, reset Windows audio defaults, or delete the local config folder (the game recreates it). If none work, report it in the official Discord — link on the Community page.

Server Status
