WARDOGS Classes — Roles & How They Earn
WARDOGS is class-based, but the roles are about what you do, not just what you carry: drivers, pilots, builders and spotters all earn cash and XP on their own tracks. This page breaks down the confirmed roles.
Confirmed Roles
| Role | What it does | Earns from |
|---|---|---|
| Assault | Front-line fighting, base attacks | Kills, assists, objective captures |
| Support (upgraded) | Places anti-air guns and mortars at FOBs | Builds, defenses, resupply |
| Builder | FOB construction: Hesco walls, gates, wire | Every structure placed |
| Driver | APCs, tanks, logistics runs | Every spawn on their vehicle, supply deliveries |
| Pilot | Transport and combat helicopters | Passenger drops, supply runs |
| Recon / Spotter | Binocular tagging from high ground | Successful tags, spotted-kill assists |
Progression
- Each role levels its own track — a support main unlocks better fortifications.
- The tank is locked behind a high Driver level in Early Access.
- Progression is intentionally slower at EA launch than it was in beta.
- Role XP and cash are separate: actions pay money immediately, XP unlocks gear.
Best Role for New Players
New players earn fastest as drivers or spotters — both roles pay without requiring gunfight wins, teach the map, and fund your first proper loadouts. See the beginner guide for the full picture.
