Buying on Steam

WARDOGS is listed as app 1867240 on Steam. Early Access launched Sep 10, 2026 at 16:00 UTC. Standard $39.99; Supporter Edition $49.99 (adds the Supporter Pack — camos, helicopter camo, supporter icon, bobbleheads). Buying during Early Access locks in the lower price: the game will cost more at 1.0 (see Price).

How the Early Access Model Works

• Buy once: your Early Access purchase includes the full 1.0 game and every update in between — no re-purchase at launch.
• Updates are free: maps, weapons, vehicles and progression patches land through Steam automatically.
• No subscription: there is no battle pass requirement to play and no monthly fee.
• Progress wipes: Early Access is seasonal — cash and XP reset per season, Gold Bars and cosmetics do not (see Wipe & Seasons).

Refunds & Gifting

The standard Steam refund policy applies: under 2 hours of playtime and within 14 days of purchase, refunds are nearly automatic through Steam Support. BULKHEAD’s own advice to Linux players before launch was to refund if the game would not run for you — the normal Steam process, not a special one. Gifting works like any other Steam title through the store’s gift option.

• Minimum: Windows 10, Intel i5-8600 / Ryzen 5 3500, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1660 / RX 590 — 1080p Low @ 60fps (upscaled).
• Recommended: Windows 11, i7-12700K / Ryzen 7 5700X, RTX 3070 / RX 6700 XT — 1440p Medium @ 70fps+.

Anti-Cheat

WARDOGS uses Easy Anti-Cheat (kernel-level). If the game fails to launch, see the Fix & Errors page for EAC repair steps. EAC is one of the reasons some launch errors happen on unusual setups — the repair procedure is on the same page.

Linux / Proton & Steam Deck Status

Linux/Proton support is not officially confirmed for launch. BULKHEAD has said it is still working on Proton compatibility and advised Linux buyers to refund if the game does not run on Sep 10. The same applies to Steam Deck: there is no verified Steam Deck rating yet, and Easy Anti-Cheat titles do not always work under Proton — treat Deck reports in community threads as anecdotal until BULKHEAD confirms support.

Steam Launch Performance

The Steam launch was one of the biggest of 2026: 428,436 peak concurrent players on Sep 13 and over 1.25 million copies sold in the first days — briefly behind only CS2 and Dota 2 on the platform (full numbers on the Steam Charts page).
